Making a conference happen requires a fair amount of money. To help us keep the ticket price low, we're supported by many lovely people.
It’s important for us to make this an inclusive event - and we can’t ignore money in that discussion. Conference tickets can sometimes be pretty expensive, because some of them are priced with the idea that an attendee’s employer will pay for them. But for many developers, that is not the case.
We’re a not-for-proft event, so we depend on ticket sales. But to keep the price affordable and still cover all the other things that make a conference great, we rely on selected supportes. We want to introduce some of them here today, and say thanks.
SAE Institute Vienna
The SAE Institute was founded in 1976 and since then has become the world’s largest creative media educational entities with 54 locations in 26 countries. Its Vienna location offers Degrees in audio engineering, film, animation, games, and webdevelopment.
SAE Vienna also hosts free events related to the web industry, most recently the Mozilla Developer Roadshow.
storyblok
Storyblok is a startup from Linz that builds an innovative headless CMS with a visual content editor. It’s the user experience of a page builder with a modern headless architecture behind. This gives the developer freedom and the editor a self-explaining and intuitive interface.
It’s a genuinely cool product, and its CEO Dominik was very helpful in supporting our event.
willhaben
Willhaben is the largest listing platform in Austria for real estate, cars and jobs. More than 3.3 million active users a month make it one of the fastest growing websites, and the dev team responsible for maintaining and improving it faces interesting challenges every day.
